Rick Hudson is a professional drummer living in Cambridge. His main musical project at present is his own band 'Loose Juice' alongside other musical projects such as The Jem Watson Trio and The Rick Hudson Quartet+Funk Band.

Other commitments include teaching drum kit at the perse schools cambridge and examining for trinity guildhall london.

Maybe East Anglia based Quintet Loose Juice were being ironic when they named there band but their blend of funk, jazz and Brazilian music sounds tight enough to me.The rhythm team of drummer Rick Hudson the bassist Tiago Coimbra lock in from the opening medium funk of 'Shake' to the more up tempo closer 'Down with it' while the Brazilian flavored 'Lovely' and the more laid back groove of 'Mermaid' add contrast to the predominantly funk material. An enjoyable debut.
